Disclosed is a rare earth-doped silicate luminescent glass, the chemical formula thereof being as follows : 45SiO2-aLi2O-bMO-5Al2O3-3K2O-2P2O5 : cEu2O3, wherein a is the molar coefficient of Li2O, b is the molar coefficient of MO, and c is the molar coefficient of Eu2O3, with a + b = 45, 25 ≤ a ≤ 35, and 0.025 ≤ c ≤ 0.50a; and the MO is one or more of alkaline earth metal oxides. The luminescent glass can generate bright green-light emission under the excitation of an ultraviolet LED chip, and can generate bright white-light emission under the excitation of a blue-light LED chip. The luminescent glass can be manufactured in combination with a light emitting diode into an LED device, which has a potential application in the field of semiconductor illumination. |
