This CO2 recovery system and CO2 recovery method comprise : an absorption device that causes CO2 in exhaust gas to be absorbed by a CO2 absorption liquid; a reproduction device that heats the CO2 absorption liquid and separates CO2; a CO2 compression mechanism for a first turbine drive mechanism, that operates in conjunction with a first steam turbine and compresses the separated CO2; a re-heating boiler that supplies LP steam discharged from the first steam turbine in order to heat the CO2 absorption liquid; an auxiliary boiler that heats condensed water from the LP steam after the CO2 absorption liquid has been heated, generates HP steam, and supplies same to the first steam turbine; and a second turbine drive mechanism that supplies HP steam generated by the auxiliary boiler to the second steam turbine and operates in conjunction with the second steam turbine. |
