PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a glass plate having light scattering function without forming a light take-out layer made from a sintered body, capable of enhancing light extraction efficiency of an organic EL element and excellent in productivity.
SOLUTION : A glass plate has at least two or more heterogeneous phases and is used for an organic EL device. The glass is phase splitting and has a haze value of 10% or more, a refractive index nd of over 1.500, a surface roughness of at least one side Ra of 0.01 to 10 nm and a plate thickness of 1.0 mm or less. The glass plate contains, by mass%, SiO2 35 to 75%, B2O3 0 to 30%, Al2O3 0 to 30% as a glass composition, and substantially no rare metal oxide, and is molded by an overflow draw method.
