简介 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an adsorption recovery material for rare earth metals which consists of a biopolymer protein graft-processed with a vinyl compound containing phosphate groups and can adsorb and remove rare earth metals selectively and efficiently, and an effective method of recovering rare earth metals by using the adsorption recovery material. SOLUTION : An adsorption recovery material consists of silk protein originated from domesticated or wild silkworms or the biopolymer protein of wool keratin graft-processed with a vinyl compound having phosphate groups and has an effect of adsorption removal and recovery of rare earth metals. Another adsorption recovery material obtained by graft-processing with a graft monomer which contains at least one of acrylic and methacrylic acid derivatives having a phosphate group has an effect of selective adsorption removal of rare earth metals and an effect of easily desorbing rare earth metals adsorbed once in the adsorption recovery material through contact with an acid.
