Disclosed are a network management apparatus for extensible label management in a multi-layer network and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the network management apparatus comprises a label manager configured to limit the scope of a label area depending on a network operational condition and a hardware limitation condition of a network device, and to assign labels continuously to a transfer pathway within the limited label area; and a path manager configured to set the transfer path between the network devices of the multi-layer network using the assigned labels and to manage resources which are used in the transfer path set.(20) Path manager(22) Label managerCOPYRIGHT KIPO 2014 |
