简介 This RE-123 superconducting wire (10) is provided with the following : a substrate (11); an intermediate layer (12) provided on top of said substrate (11); and an oxide superconducting layer (14) that is provided on top of the intermediate layer (12) and comprises an oxide superconductor that can be represented by the compositional formula RE1Ba2Cu3O7−δ (in which RE represents one or more rare earth elements). A compound containing hafnium in the amount of 0.5-10 mol% is added to the oxide superconducting layer (14), and a hafnium-containing phase is dispersed throughout the oxide superconducting layer (14), forming flux-pinning sites. The a-axis ratio of the oxide superconducting layer (14) is at most 1.5%.
