[Problem] To provide a condenser capable of maintaining a high electrostatic capacity even if a voltage is applied thereto at a high temperature. [Solution] A condenser provided with a dielectric layer, said dielectric layer being formed of a dielectric porcelain which comprises crystal grains (9) containing barium titanate as the main component and contains at least one kind of a rare-earth element (RE) selected from the group consisting of terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium and gadolinium, wherein the crystal grains (9) consist of at least two kinds of crystal grains (9a, 9b), said crystal grains (9a, 9b) showing a difference of 0.1 atm% or greater in the rare-earth element (RE) concentration at a depth of 20 nm from the grain boundary, and have a core-shell type crystal structure. |
