PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electrode material for a spark plug, which has characteristics of superior oxidation resistance, spark-wear resistance and productivity as well without containing an expensive rare element, so as to cope with the tendencies of a heavier load and a higher performance in an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION : The electrode material for the spark plug includes, by mass%, 0.1% or less C (including zero), 0.3-3.0% Si, 0.3% or less Mn (including zero), 0.3% or less Cr (including zero), 0.3% or less Al (including zero), 1.0% or less Ti (including zero), 0.3% or less Mn+Cr, and the balance Ni with impurities.
