PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a recovery method of rare earth elements and a recovery apparatus of rare earth elements each capable, while simplifying operation processes, of improving qualities of recovered rare earth elements.
SOLUTION : The provided recovery method of rare earth elements wherein rare earth elements are recovered from a resource including iron group elements and rare earth elements comprises a dissolution step of dissolving, into an amide solution provided as an acid solution, iron group elements and rare earth elements from the resource, an iron group compound separation step of generating, upon the completion of the dissolution step, a compound including the iron group elements within the amide solution and then separating the compound from the amide solution, a salt generation step of generating, upon the completion of the iron group compound separation step, rare earth metal salts by concentrating the amide solution, and an electrolytic deposition step of inducing the electrolytic deposition of rare earth elements from the rare earth metal salts.
