The present invention relates to an exhaust gas recirculation device for a diesel engine and a control method thereof. The exhaust gas recirculation device for a diesel engine according to the present invention comprises an air suction pipe connected to an air suction manifold of an engine to supply air; an exhaust pipe connected to an exhaust manifold of the engine to discharge exhaust gas; a turbo charger rotating a turbine with the pressure of the exhaust gas discharged from the exhaust pipe, and compressing fresh outside air at the air suction pipe by operating a compressor with the rotary power of the turbine; a circulating pipe arranged to connect the air suction pipe and the exhaust pipe to recirculate a part of the exhaust gas toward the air suction manifold; an inter cooler arranged at the exist of the compressor of the air suction pipe and cooling the air compressed in the turbo charger; an EGR valve (exhaust gas recirculation valve) arranged on the circulation pipe and controlling the flow of the recirculating exhaust gas; an EGR cooler (exhaust gas recirculation cooler) arranged at the exit of the EGR valve in the circulation pipe and cooling the recirculating exhaust gas; a first bypass line branched from the exit of the EGR cooler and connected to the exit of the inter cooler; a second bypass line branched from the exit of the EGR cooler and connected to the entrance of the inter cooler; a branch valve controlling the recirculating exhaust gas to flow from the EGR cooler to either one of the first or the second bypass line; and a control unit controlling the branch valve to flow the recirculating exhaust gas to either one of the first or the second bypass line based on the state of the EGR cooler.(42) EGR cooler(61) Turbine(63) Compressor(70) Inter cooler(80) Suction air amount sensorCOPYRIGHT KIPO 2014 |
