Provided is a method for detecting rare cells which, by enhancing the recovery rate of cells when a cell suspension has been spread in a flow channel on a microchamber chip, reduces the loss of rare cells. Said method for detecting rare cells in a cell suspension uses a device (10) for cell-spreading that has a microchamber chip (1), a flow channel forming frame (2), an entry part (3) and an exit part (4). A method for recovering rare cells includes : a step (X) for introducing a cell suspension from the entry part (3) into a flow channel (5) and for spreading cells in the flow channel (5) on the microchamber chip (1); and a step (Y) for collecting, in microchambers (6), the cells spread in the flow channel (5) on the microchamber chip (1) by the intermittent feeding of liquid. |
