PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a point machine which inhibits the damage when normal operation is finished or the operation is hindered and prevents the damage caused by inertia without providing a special normal brake.
SOLUTION : A point machine 1 includes : an operation rod 7 and a lock rod 9; a driving motor 3 which drives the operation rod 7 and the lock rod 9; a speed reduction mechanism 13 which reduces a speed of a driving force of the driving motor and transmits the driving force to the operation rod; and a hysteresis type torque limiter 15 incorporated into the speed reduction mechanism 13. The speed reduction mechanism 13 includes multistage speed reduction parts. The hysteresis type torque limiter 15 is disposed between the multistage speed reduction parts. The hysteresis type torque limiter 15 has a permanent magnet part and a hysteresis magnetization part which is disposed facing the permanent magnet part. The permanent magnet part is a rare earth magnet, more specifically, a samarium cobalt magnet.
