PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a new rare earth complex polymer capable of improving various characteristics such as excitation by long-wavelength excitation light, heat resistance, temperature-sensitive luminescence and the like.
SOLUTION : A rare earth complex polymer is provided that has a main chain including at least one trivalent rare earth ion and a plurality of ligands coordinated to the rare earth ion. The plurality of ligands comprise a linker ligand coordinated to at least two rare earth ions and a non-linker ligand coordinated to one rare earth ion. The main chain is formed of linker ligands and rare earth ions alternately connected. The main chain includes two or more types of non-linker ligands, or/and further contains a unidentate terminal ligand different from the non-linker ligand, coordinated to the rare earth ion located at the terminal of the main chain.
