PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a hard alloy baseplate outer periphery cutting blade capable of cutting a rare earth sintered magnet with high dimensional accuracy and method of producing hard alloy baseplate outer periphery cutting blade.
SOLUTION : A cutting blade part 20 is formed by fixing an abrasive grain formed by coating, preliminarily with a magnetic material, a diamond particle and/or a cBN particle, with an average grain size and a toughness index TI set appropriately, onto a baseplate 10 consisting of a hard alloy-made circular ring-shaped thin plate. The cutting blade part 20 is formed by impregnating gaps between abrasive grains and between abrasive grains and the baseplate 10 with a thermoplastic resin or a thermosetting resin composition and hardening. The tolerance of the thickness of pushed-out parts of the cutting blade part 20 is 0.001 mm or greater and 0.1×T2max mm or smaller, (T2max is the maximum value of the thickness in the whole of the cutting blade 20), and the circularity(ODmax/2-ODmin/2) of the cutting blade part 20 is 0.001 mm or greater and 0.01×ODmax mm or smaller (ODmax and ODmin are respectively the maximum value and the minimum value of the outer diameter of the cutting blade part 20).
