PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To efficiently and easily recover rare earths from a phosphoric acid plaster obtained as residue (waste) or the like after the recovery of phosphorous from phosphorous ore in the production of phosphoric acid.
SOLUTION : In the method for recovering rare earths from a phosphoric acid plaster comprises : a leaching step of leaching rare earths from the phosphoric acid plaster into a leach liquor as a water solution including a chelate agent by a hydrothermal leaching method using the leachate to obtain a leach noble liquor including the rare earths; and a rare earth recovering step of separately recovering the rare earths from the leach noble liquor.
