Provided is a cement composition that gives a cement paste, mortar, or concrete which, while retaining the fresh-state properties thereof, gives a cured object having improved strength. Also provided is a process for producing the cement composition. The cement composition has a Sr content of 0.02-0.06 mass% and a Mo content of 0.0002-0.0023 mass%. The process for producing the cement composition comprises : a step (A) in which raw materials selected from the group consisting of limestone, silica stone, coal ash, clay, blast furnace slag, soil generated by construction works, sewage sludge, hydro-cakes, and iron sources are proportioned so as to result in a cement composition having a Sr content of 0.02-0.06 mass% and a Mo content of 0.0002-0.0023 mass% and the proportioned raw materials are burned to produce cement clinker; and a step (B) in which the cement clinker is pulverized together with gypsum and with limestone and blast furnace slag as admixtures. |
