Provided is a method for more efficiently and stably producing a polybutadiene which is capable of providing a rubber composition and a tire that have excellent durability (fracture resistance, wear resistance and crack propagation resistance). A method for producing a polybutadiene, which is characterized by polymerizing a butadiene monomer in the presence of a rare earth element compound represented by formula (i). M-(NQ)1(NQ)2(NQ)3 (i) (In the formula, M represents at least one element that is selected from among lanthanoids, scandium and yttrium; and (NQ)1, (NQ)2 and (NQ)3 represent amide groups, which may be the same as or different from each other, but have an M-N bond.) |
