PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a showcase capable of promoting sale of commodities by announcing early that the commodities on a shelf device for commodity display are in the out-of-stock condition or in the rare-stock condition. SOLUTION : The showcase having the shelf device 4 for displaying commodities within a showroom 11 includes a shelf inclination sensor 7 for detecting the inclination of the shelf device 4 which varies according to the weight of commodities on the shelf device 4. A control device 14 outputs information on the number of remaining commodities in the rare-stock condition or in the out-of-stock condition of the commodities on the shelf device 4 based on the output of the shelf inclination sensor 7.
