The present invention relates to an organic electroluminescent device in which an organic matter is inserted between positive and negative electrodes on a substrate. The organic matter includes a light emitting layer which contains one or more selected from a host compound which is represented by chemical formula 1, and one or more selected from dopant compound represented by the chemical formula 2. The organic electroluminescent device according to the present invention has properties of long lifetime, high efficiency and high luminance, enhances color purity, lowers driving voltage and shows enhanced device stability.
