PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an enzyme immunoassay and a chemiluminescent reagent kit for an enzyme immunoassay capable of measuring a very small amount of substances in a living body with high sensitivity.
SOLUTION : There is provided a chemiluminescent enzyme immunoassay using a chemiluminescent substance (a) and an oxidant (b), wherein chemiluminescence is performed in the presence of a salt (c) of an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal. The salt (c) of an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal preferably is calcium chloride and/or lithium bromide. The enzyme preferably is a peroxidase and the chemiluminescent substance (a) preferably is a metal salt of luminol.
