PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for concentrating a scarce, low-yield rare earth element from a rare earth element-containing material at a higher concentration rate.
SOLUTION : A rare earth element concentration method from a rare earth element-containing material includes a process 1 for heating and melting the rare earth element-containing material in the coexistence of a boron oxide flux (B2O3) to form a B2O3 phase and a phase, below the B2O3 phase, enriched in a rare earth element more than the B2O3 phase, that is, the process 1 for cooling after maintaining 1, 150-1, 600°C for 10-360 minutes.
