PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a high corrosion resistant plated steel material which is effectively suppressed in generation of iron rust caused by a plating pin hole.
SOLUTION : A steel material is plated with a metal represented by Ni, Co and Cu which are electrochemically nobler than the steel material and has a layer of a metal or alloy with a larger hydrogen overvoltage than that of the steel material at a steel material-plating interface. The metal with a larger hydrogen overvoltage than that of the steel material is an alloy of one selected from B, S, P, V, Mo and RE (rare earth element) and one selected from Fe, Co and Ni.
