PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a transparent conductive film material which uses copper iodide and zinc oxide without a rare metal of indium, and is easy to manufacture at relatively low cost, and allows a transparent conductive film to fulfill its function, such as achieving a high electrical conductivity. SOLUTION : The transparent conductive film material comprises : copper iodide and zinc oxide. The material is arranged by dispersing the copper iodide in an organic solvent to prepare a copper iodide solution, and adding the zinc oxide to the copper iodide solution. The organic solvent is at least one nitrile solvent selected from a group consisting of acetonitrile, propionitrile and butyronitrile. The mass M of the zinc oxide to be added is no less than 0.01 below 0.2 pts.mass to 1 pt.mass of the copper iodide. The transparent conductive film is formed by applying the transparent conductive film material to an object by means of spin coating, spray coating, or ink jet coating.
