PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of manufacturing an NdFeB sintered magnet that has high coercive force and is applicable without lowering of residual magnetic flux density and a maximum energy product nor reprocessing.
SOLUTION : A method of manufacturing an NdFeB sintered magnet is characterized by including, in a magnet manufacturing method of making coercive force high by sticking sticking matter including Dy and/or Tb on a surface of the NdFeB sintered magnet and heating it to disperse Dy or Tb therein through a grain boundary of the NdFeB sintered magnet, (1) making the substance, including Dy or Tb, stuck on the surface of the NdFeB sintered magnet substantially into metal powder, (2) in that the metal powder consists of a rare earth element R and an iron group transition element T, or R and T, R or T and an alloy, or an element X forming an inter-metal compound, and (3) in that the amount of oxygen included in the NdFeB sintered magnet is equal to or less than 5, 000 ppm. Further, T can be made anticorrosive by including Ni and Co.
