Provided is a constant velocity universal join that exhibits excellent durability at high temperatures while employing a silicone rubber boot that contains no rare earth element-containing compounds such as cerium oxide. The constant velocity universal joint comprises : an outer joint member (2); an inner joint member (4); a shaft (8) that is connected to the inner joint member (4); and a boot (9) that is mounted to the outer joint member (2) and the shaft (8) either directly or via a separate member. The boot (9) contains silicone rubber, iron oxide, and titanium oxide, and is a molded body of a silicone rubber composition that contains no rare earth element-containing compounds. If necessary, the silicone rubber composition additionally contains barium zirconate. |
