PURPOSE : A local and remote operation system of an elevator using duplex WCDMA and a control method thereof are provided to operate an elevator at a remote distance through a mobile terminal authenticated through a WCDMA modem.CONSTITUTION : A local and remote operation system of an elevator using duplex WCDMA comprises a terminal (12), a management server (20), and a mobile terminal (30). The terminal has WCDMA modems (14, 22) and is connected to a network (40) through the WCDMA modems and an elevator control panel (10). The management server comprises a WCDMA modem, an authentication unit (24), and a data storage unit. The WCDMA modem is connected to the network and transmits and receives data. The authentication unit performs an authentication work of the mobile terminal. The data storage unit stores data containing a control order.
