PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a magnet manufacturing method allowing high transverse intensity when using a hard magnetic material without dysprosium and heating by irradiation with microwave, and a magnet.
SOLUTION : A material powder 10 uses a hard magnetic material consisting of a material powder of a R-Fe-N compound containing a light rare earth element as R or a material powder of an Fe-N compound. In order that when the surface of a molded body 30 is irradiated with microwave, the joining-progression speed by microwave-heating on the inner side of the molded body is faster than that on the surface side, arrangement is made with the density of the hard magnetic material being different between on the surface side and on the inner side of the molded body 30 and the molded body 30 is molded. The surface of the molded body 30 is irradiated with microwave to generate microwave-heating and hard magnetic material powders 11 and 12 are joined by an oxide film 16 produced into hard magnetic material powders 11 and 12.
