A ceramic sintered product obtained by sintering a material comprising : to) of 98-50% by volume of zirconia as a matrix, i) stabilized with a stabilizing composition having ii) of from 2 to 3 mole percent of yttria and from 10 to 15 mole percent of ceria; in which the term mole percentage relates to the zirconia matrix and b) of 2 to 50% by volume of alumina; in which 5 to 90% by volume of alumina is in the form of platelets identicalhexagonal of general formula [...] reaction globular alumina particles distributed homogeneously incorporated in the matrix [...] with the rare earth oxide forming platelets during the process of sintering and in which rare earth metal [...] and said hexagonal platelets contain lanthanum oxide, with a mechanical strength of 800 MPa when measured according to > = DIN EN ISO 6872 and with a toughness [...][...] of > = 6 MPa/2 when measured according to Din CEN/TS 14425-5 and with a modulus of elasticity of < = 250 [...] is measured according to DIN EN 843 Part 2. |
