简介 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for generating a haptic effect based on cost, availability and performance characteristics without adversely affecting the haptic feedback provided by the device or requiring costly reconfiguration by hand.SOLUTION : A method for generating a haptic effect by using an eccentric rotating mass (ERM) actuator includes steps of : determining a back electromotive force (EMF) of the ERM actuator 18; receiving a haptic effect signal comprising one or more parameters, where one of the parameters is a voltage amplitude level as a function of time; varying the voltage amplitude level based at least on the back EMF; and applying the varied haptic effect signal to the ERM actuator.
