简介 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a target for laser abrasion, and a method for manufacturing an oxide superconductive wire material using the same. SOLUTION : The target for laser abrasion includes a rare-earth oxide superconductive sintered body, and is obtained by mixing an RE compound, a Ba compound and a Cu compound followed by pulverizing, sintering, and final baking after molding. The target is used to perform laser deposition on a tape-like substrate that is a film forming object in each lane while moving the substrate along a plurality of parallel lanes. The target has a base phase having a composition ratio of RE, Ba, Cu and O needed as an oxide superconductor showing superconductive characteristics and a different phase differed in composition ratio or composition from the base phase, the different phase is 60% or less relative to the base phase, and the particle size of particles constituting the different phase is 0.5 mm or less.
