PURPOSE : A phosphor is provided to have excellent high temperature performance and reliability, and to improve light emitting efficiency, thereby providing a light emitting device with excellent luminance efficiency.CONSTITUTION : A phosphor comprises a phosphor composition that rare earth elements are dissolved in a base material represented by chemical formula : L_3Si_6N_11. In chemical formula, L is one or more elements selected from La, Y, Gd, and Lu. The rare earth element is one or more selected from Mn, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Tb, Ho, Er, Tm, and Yb.
