PURPOSE : A metal paste composition for forming an electrode is provided to improve electric performance of a solar battery by including materials capable of utilizing electric performance of a solar battery, and to prevent bending of a substrate by controlling plasticity of aluminum.CONSTITUTION : A metal paste composition comprises aluminum powder, glass frit powder, organic binder, rare earth metal as a sintering aid, or a metal oxide thereof. A silicon solar battery comprises a silicon semiconductor substrate; an emitter layer formed on the upper part of the substrate; a reflection preventing layer formed on the emitter; a front electrode which passes through the reflection preventing layer and is connected to the emitter layer; and a rear electrode connected to the rear side of the substrate.
