简介 Provided are : a positive electrode active material having both low cost and stability, having a faster charge/discharge speed than conventional material, and capable of obtaining a greater charge/discharge capacitance; a production method therefor; and a lithium ion secondary battery. This positive electrode active material has a configuration whereby at least one type from among copper, vanadium, and titanium is included in one type from among lithium iron silicate, lithium manganese silicate, and a solid solution including these. As a result, this positive electrode active material has low cost and stability as a result of not using the rare earth elements Co or Ni. In addition, the electron conductivity can be increased compared to conventional material, and, as a result, the discharge capacitance per unit volume and the discharge capacitance per unit weight at high charge/discharge speed can be increased, thereby making the charge/discharge speed faster than conventional material, and enabling a large charge/discharge capacitance to be obtained.
