PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a nitride phosphor having more improved brightness than conventional nitride phosphors.
SOLUTION : The method for producing the nitride phosphor represented by general formula (1) : LnxSiyNn : Z (wherein, Ln is a rare earth element excluding an element used as sn activator; Z is an activator; x satisfies 2.7≤x≤3.3; y satisfies 5.4≤y≤6.6; and n satisfies 10≤n≤12), is characterized by preparing raw materials containing elements constituting the nitride phosphor represented by general formula (1), mixing the raw materials with a compound containing rubidium, and then firing the obtained mixture.
