Catalyst composition (I) comprises : a compound made of zirconium oxide, titanium oxide, tungsten oxide and at least one oxide of another element M (1-20 mass%) comprising silicon, aluminum, iron, molybdenum, manganese, zinc, tin or rare earth metal, where the titanium oxide, tungsten oxide, oxide of element M and zirconium oxide are present at 20-50 mass%, 1-20 mass%, 1-20 mass% and the balance amount, respectively, and the zirconium oxide has an acidity of at least 90% measured by the methylbutynol test; and a zeolite. An independent claim is included for a method of treating gas for converting nitrogen oxides into nitrogen comprising contacting the gas with a nitrogen reducing agent using (I). |
