PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an absorption chiller/heater whose efficiency at heating operation is improved, and an operating method therefor.
SOLUTION : A refrigerant piping L2 through which a refrigerant liquid is sent from a refrigerant reservoir RP to an evaporator E is branched at the downstream of a refrigerant pump P1. A branched pipe L21 is connected with a rare liquid reservoir KP, and the branched pipe L21 is provided with a stop valve V2. Further, a stop valve V3 is provided at the downstream of a branching point of the refrigerant piping L2. The respective stop valves V2, 3 are operated such that concentration of an absorbing liquid supplied to a high temperature regenerator HG is lowered during heating operation.
