A phosphor represented by general formula : (M2 x, M3 y, M4 z, M5 k)m M1O3X(2/n) [wherein M1 is one or more kinds of elements and includes Si as the essential component; M2 is one or more kinds of elements and includes Ca as the essential component; M3 is one or more kinds of elements selected from the group consisting of Sr, Mg, Ca, Ra and Ba and includes Sr as the essential component; X is at least one kind of halogen element; M4 is one or more kinds of elements selected from the group consisting of rare earth elements and includes Eu2+ as the essential component; M5 is one or more kinds of elements selected from the group consisting of Mn, Zn, Sn, V, Cr, Co, Ni, Cu, Cd and Pb; 1 = m = 4/3 and 5 = n = 7; and x, y, z and k are numbers satisfying the relationships : x + y + z + k = 1, 0 < x < 0.985, 0 < y < 0.985, 0.01 = z = 0.3, and 0.005 < k < 0.3]. |
