PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for obtaining pellets of iron ore fines, the pellets having crushing strength good enough to prevent pseudo particles from being easily broken and good pelletization properties.
SOLUTION : In a method for producing pellets of iron ore fines, 0.01-10 pts.mass of a low molecular surfactant having a molecular weight of 280-450 and 3-25 pts.mass of water are added with 100 pts.mass of iron ore fines. Further, 1.0-3.0 pts.mass of CaO or Ca(OH)2 is preferably added. The low molecular surfactant is preferably includes at least one or more selected from among alkyl, alkyl ester, oxyalkylene and aryl, as a hydrophobic group, and at least one or more selected from among carboxyl, sulfonic acid, sulfate ester, phosphoric acid, sulfate or a salt represented as -COOM, -SO3M, -OSO3M, -HMPO4 or -M2PO4 (M represents alkali metal or alkali earth metal), as a hydrophilic group.
