PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a permanent magnet which reproducibly exhibits high coercive force by a Sm-Co-based magnet including a composition region of high Fe concentration as the main phase.
SOLUTION : In one embodiment, the permanent magnet includes : composition represented by compositional formula RpFeqMrCusCo100-p-q-r-s (R is at least one selected from rare earth elements, M is at least one selected from Zr, Ti and Hf, and 10≤p≤13.5, 28≤q≤40, 0.88≤r≤7.2, and 4≤s≤13.5 (atom%)); and a composition region having Fe concentration of 28 mol% or more as the main phase. Cu concentration in the main phase is 5 mol% or more.
