简介 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a positive electrode containing sulfur-based positive electrode active material and capable of improving cycle characteristics and discharge rate characteristics of a lithium ion secondary battery.SOLUTION : A positive electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery contains : sulfur-based positive electrode active material containing carbon (C) and sulfur (S); and conducting material containing sulfur (S). At least a part of the conducting material comprises sulfide of at least one kind of metal selected from the group consisting of fourth-period metals, fifth-period metals, sixth-period metals, and rare earth elements.
