The method involves providing an area (2) of ground of an airport (1) at perimeters with electrical voltage, by which electrical current flow is caused by the area. The area is impinged with chronologically successive voltage pulses, where each voltage pulse is generated in the area. Two pairs of spaced apart uncoated electrodes (4, 5) are impinged alternately with electric voltage. The area is arranged or installed in direct proximity of a starting and/or landing runway (3) of the airport and/or of an agricultural used surface, and/or is subjected with the voltage. An independent claim is also included for a device for deterring earth-bound animals and/or birds from an area of ground of an airport or an agricultural field. |
