PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a novel method for producing an amino alcohol compound.
SOLUTION : A method for producing an amino alcohol compound represented by formula (2) includes a process of making a compound represented by formula (1) react with ammonia in the presence of a rare-earth element compound. (In formula (1), each of R1, R2, and R3 independently represents an alkyl group optionally having a substituent, an aryl group optionally having a substituent, or a hydrogen atom). (In formula (2), each of R1, R2, and R3 has the same meaning as defined above).
