PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for manufacturing a phosphor, capable of providing a light emission spectrum having a broad half width and securing a sufficient light emission luminance in order to obtain a light emission, for example, like solar light.
SOLUTION : After a salt component (HCl) and H2O to promote a combination are added to vanadium pentaoxide V2O5, an alkaline earth chloride AECl2 is excessively added to the vanadium pentaoxide V2O5. At this time, the alkaline earth chloride AECl2 excessive to a suitable amount according to the chemical formula (chemical reaction formula) of an alkaline earth vanadate salt-based compound AE2VO4Cl is added to the vanadium pentaoxide V2O5. Then, the compound is concentrated and evaporated to dryness, fired, and washed to thereby complete a phosphor of the alkaline earth vanadate salt-based compound AE2VO4Cl.
