PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a plasma display device that is more excellent in the display quality of a stereoscopic vision and the stability of emission.
SOLUTION : The plasma display device uses at least a rare earth phosphovanadate fluorescent substance activated by Eu3+ as a red phosphor that emits a red light component, wherein in the rare earth phosphovanadate fluorescent substance, when the atomicity proportion of phosphorus to the total atomicity of phosphorus and vanadium is defined as a phosphorus proportion, the phosphorus proportion is more than 62 atomic% and less than 70 atomic%.
