PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To solve such a problem that practical use of a polymer solid fuel cell cannot be achieved without reducing fuel cell system cost by replacing an oxygen electrode catalyst of a polymer solid fuel cell comprising a hydrogen electrode, a polymer electrolyte and an oxygen electrode from a conventional high-priced rare metal such as platinum to an extremely low-priced catalyst.
SOLUTION : Fuel cell system cost can be reduced by replacing an oxygen electrode catalyst of a polymer solid fuel cell comprising a hydrogen electrode, a polymer electrolyte and an oxygen electrode from a high-priced and rare metal-based catalyst such as platinum to a low-temperature fired carbon catalyst having a composition containing polycyclic hydrocarbon including nitrogen in a skeleton thereof.
