PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a laser device which can improve operability.SOLUTION : In a present laser device, a rare earth doped optical fiber 21 is excited to a high excited state by laser beams radiated from a first excitation semiconductor laser 22 when laser beams are radiated from a signal semiconductor laser 10 to the rare earth doped optical fiber 21. Laser beams radiated from the signal semiconductor laser 10 are amplified through the rare earth doped optical fiber 21 that is in the high excited state to be radiated as amplified light. In the present laser device, a second excitation semiconductor laser 23 having laser output lower than that of the first excitation semiconductor laser 22 is provided. The rare earth doped optical fiber 21 is preliminarily excited by laser beams respectively radiated from the first excitation semiconductor laser 22 and the second excitation semiconductor laser 23 before the rare earth doped optical fiber 21 is excited to the high excited state by laser beams radiated from the first excitation semiconductor laser 22.COPYRIGHT : (C)2013, JPO&INPIT |
