PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an endoscope system for securing transmission of images even when abnormality occurs (failure occurs).
SOLUTION : An imaging part 102 images a subject and generates image information. A transmission part 109 transmits the image information generated by the imaging part 102 in a plurality of different transmission systems. A reception part 110 receives the image information transmitted by the transmission part 109 by the plurality of different transmission systems. An image processing part 111 processes the image information received by the reception part 110. The transmission part 109 has a conversion part for converting the image information generated by the imaging part 102 into converted image information of a plurality of different modes corresponding to the plurality of different transmission systems, respectively, and output the converted image information. The reception part 110 has a re-conversion part for re-converting the converted image information of the plurality of different modes received into image information and outputting it.
