PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To recover rare metal more easily at low cost.
SOLUTION : Prepared mixed powder is subjected to pulverization treatment. For example, the pulverization treatment can be performed using a ball mill. Through the pulverization treatment, a metal oxide and a reducing agent in the mixed powder react each other in a solid phase by a mechanochemical reaction, so that the metal oxide is reduced. It is known that, in pulverization treatment by rotational motion using a pulverization ball in a ball mill, not only physical pulverization treatment but also a mechanochemical reaction causing a chemical reaction by mechanical energy are caused. A reduced material such as metal is derived from the metal oxide by the reduction.
