[Problem] To provide, using a material which does not contain any rare earth element, a dielectric ceramic which exhibits a relative permittivity (εr) of 40 to 46 and an enhanced Qf value; and to provide a dielectric filter provided with the same. [Solution] A dielectric ceramic comprising a sintered body such that when the composition is represented by the compositional formula αZrO2·βTiO2· γZnO·δNb2O5, the molar ratios α, β, γ and δ satisfy 0.3000≤α≤0.5500, 0.3300≤β≤0.6000, 0.0108≤γ≤0.0717, 0.0193 ≤δ≤0.1283, α+β+γ+δ=1, and 0.5<γ/δ≤1, wherein areas having Zn concentrations of 5% or more occupy at least some of the surface of the sintered body. |
