PURPOSE : An electrode active material is provided to provide a lithium secondary battery with improved cycle performance by having excellent charging and discharging capacity and improving capacity maintenance.CONSTITUTION : An electrode active material comprises a core active material(10), a coating layer formed on the surface of the core active material. The coating layer contains a composite comprising a chemical formula 1 : Li_xM_y(PO_4)_z and a carbon-based material, or contains a first coating layer comprising a carbon-based material and a second coating layer comprising the compound in chemical formula 1.
